The three vultures–a clergyman, a judge, and a politician–perch on dead, bare branches that form an “A” on the lid of a black wooden box. Inside is a mummified woman with a perfect, white fetus lying in a silk-lined coffin. This piece expresses my horror at the repeal of a constitutional right to abortion by the U.S. Supreme Court in 2022.
